Terms of service

These terms apply to venue accounts using The Racker booking and venue-management service. They explain what we provide, what venue owners remain responsible for, and how subscriptions work.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

1. Who we are

The service is provided under the name The Racker. For account, billing or service questions, contact info@theracker.co.uk.

2. The service

The Racker provides software for publishing venue availability, taking customer table bookings, managing tables and prices, and viewing booking information. We may improve, change or temporarily suspend parts of the service for maintenance, security or operational reasons.

Venue owners are responsible for the accuracy of their venue details, opening hours, table availability, prices, booking rules, customer communications and delivery of the service booked at their venue. A customer’s table booking is subject to the venue’s own rules and availability.

3. Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate account information, keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been misused. You must be authorised to act for any venue you add.

You must not use The Racker to mislead customers, upload unlawful or abusive content, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, or use the service in a way that could harm another person or venue. We may restrict or close accounts that breach these requirements.

4. Plans, prices and payment

Venue subscriptions are billed in GBP through Stripe. The standard plans currently shown on the site are £39.99 per month or £399 per year. The first 20 eligible venue accounts may claim a founding price of £19.99 per month or £150 per year for their first 12 months; the standard price applies afterwards. Founding availability is limited and subject to the offer terms shown at checkout.

Any applicable taxes are shown by Stripe before payment is confirmed. Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval unless cancelled. You can manage payment methods, invoices and cancellation through the Stripe billing portal linked from your account. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, so access remains available until that date unless the account is suspended for another reason.

5. Failed payments

If a payment fails, we may allow a short grace period while Stripe retries payment. If payment is not recovered, venue-management and new-booking features may be suspended. We will normally retain account and booking data so that access can be restored if the subscription is recovered or restarted.

6. Intellectual property and your content

We own or license the software, branding and underlying technology used to provide The Racker. You retain responsibility for content and information you submit. You give us permission to host, process and display that information only as needed to provide, secure and improve the service.

7. Availability and liability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but online services can be affected by maintenance, networks, third-party services or events outside our control. The Racker does not guarantee that every booking will be accepted, fulfilled or available at a venue; the venue remains responsible for its own operations.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of profits, or venue decisions based on inaccurate availability or pricing information.

8. Ending an account

You may stop using the service or cancel a subscription through Stripe. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security concerns, unlawful use or a material breach of these terms. On termination, we may retain information where needed for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution or security purposes.

9. Contact

For account, billing or service questions, email info@theracker.co.uk. We will use the information you provide to investigate and respond.

These terms are intended to describe the current venue subscription service. If your venue needs bespoke commercial terms, please contact us before subscribing.
